Maintenance notice:
Starting Friday January 9th at 9am through Sunday
evening January 11th, pharmacist.com will undergo a major
systems upgrade. During this time you will not be able to update
your account information, purchase books online, or sign up with a guest
account. Additionally, the Web site will not be available for a period
of time over the weekend.
You can still…access to all the information on the Web
site, login so you can complete CE, purchase Lexi-Comp products, access
the Career Center, and view JAPhA online. If you would like to order
books during this time, please call our toll free order number at
1-800-878-0729.
Members Services will be available during our normal business hours
to answer any questions either by email at aphainforcenter@aphanet.org
or by calling 1-800-237-2742, but they will be unable to make changes to
your member record during this time.

Petition to Recognize a New Pharmacy Specialty
APhA, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and the
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) have jointly
submitted a petition to the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS)
requesting recognition of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Practice as a
Specialty. Read

Immunization Champion Awards
Nominate
a colleague who has made extraordinary contributions toward
improved vaccination rates within his or her community. There are five
(5) categories of recognition including: individual practitioners,
corporations/institutions, partnerships with other health care providers
and public health, community outreach, and a special friend of
pharmacy's immunization efforts. This awards program is supported by
Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics. The awards will be presented at the
APhA Annual Meeting in San Antonio. Nomination deadline is January 16,
